Too long on the road

I've been too long at play
too long on a road that wanders in and out
through valleys
and distant mountains
watched the spring poplar blossoms burst
into green mists
plucked lotus flowers
talked to strangers
rested with tired bones on islands
danced
the dance of living
now I want to be with a few old friends
to know without talk the folk I've always known
to be with you without the need
to tell you
who I am

Yours is a lovely poem though you have no need to tell me who you are, because you are you are and you are known so well to me.
